Burning Mist

Burning mist

from the newly

sun dappled wildflowers.

Begin the Dance.

Rejoice in the dance…,

The naturalist play.

Swim in the tall,

verdant weeds.

Roll in the mossy hay.

Feeling time slow

to a stagnant crawl.

We worry not!

Our watches haven’t worked

since the day we removed them!

Our master is overthrown,

and we rise with the dawn,

and we will live fully,

until we’re done!

When the shepherdess of night

calls us to our repose,

dreams of the wild day

will quell our fears of night.

We will drink and dance…,

our right.

to do as we suppose!
