She Returns

The wind blows

From france,

and it brings with it

the scent of my love.

Tomorrow

Oh, how long a wait.

It seems I shall

not last that long.

I must, for all

my happiness

will return.

She took it when she left

and when she returns

so will my heart.

Fly winds and turn not

from my shore

Carry the winged bird

of my peace,

to this side of the giant sea

Return her here

and make me

whole again!
